What exactly has happened to artistic integrity? I realize that we live in a society where it's taken as some a priori truth, beyond reproach, that market solubility is the be all, end all of the measure of the quality of a given thing (herein referred to as "products" - since when is art a product?), but aren't there, somewhere, some higher value than what you can get a lot of people to pay for? cranked out at 10:51 PM | |
